Los requisitos
You must either be a refugee or asylum seeker, OR a migrant from outside the EU not having the opportunities to find work or in a difficult/vulnerable living situation.
Minimum age requirement of 18 years
English speaker (C1 or high B2 minimum). At the moment we only do this course in English. In the future there will be options for Spanish as well.
Availability for the duration of the course (9 months), including Saturday classes in person (6 hours) + one additional weekday class in the evening online (2-3 hours), and approximately 20 hours of autonomous study weekly (total commitment: 30-40 hours/week)
Residence in Barcelona or its immediate vicinity, as our classes are held in-person at one of our partner company’s facilities in Poble Nou
Exceptional motivation to learn IT, which is the most significant factor determining graduation success
Previous IT experience is beneficial but not mandatory
We highly encourage women applications to our courses
* The upcoming course on Web Development will start in October 2026. Before enrolling in the course, please ensure you are committed for 9 months, as for all Saturday and weekday classes, the attendance is mandatory. There will be summer, winter, and some bank holidays spread throughout the course. Specific dates are to be provided during the interviews.

For the new group starting in October 2026, we will be closing applications on the week of the 10th of August. Applications received after this date will be considered for our next group in October 2027.
PASO 2
Intro to Digital (ITD)
20h – 35h
Step 2 is the most difficult step and you will need to take your time for it
Once your motivation letter has been approved, you will receive an email directing you to the Module: Intro to Digital (ITD). You will need to complete all the steps required and submit all the work you make to be reviewed by The MigraCode Team.
In this ITD Module you will learn:
- How to use Slack
- Evaluate Data using Google Sheets
- Learn HTML and CSS
- Build and deploy Projects
Additionally, we strongly recommend starting to learn JavaScript as soon as you begin your application with us. There are plenty of free resources out there. One free course we like to recommend is the Campamento de código gratuito JavaScript course, which is a project-based course and beginner-friendly. Alternatively you can try the Javascript course on Scrimba aquí.
The last day to submit ITD will be the 31st of August, 2026. Projects received after this date will be considered for our next group in October 2027.
PASO 3
Entrevista final

La siguiente parte del proceso de solicitud es tener an interview with one of the members of our team.
No te preocupes, será una entrevista relajada, solo queremos conocerte mejor y responder cualquier pregunta que puedas tener. Durante esta entrevista, puedes ser tan abierto como quieras y infórmenos sobre cualquier duda que pueda tener.
Las personas con conocimientos básicos de programación tendrán prioridad en el proceso de selección. Por lo tanto, se recomienda prepararse haciendo al menos un curso intensivo de JavaScript. Si por alguna razón no eres seleccionado, siempre puedes aplicar nuevamente para el próximo curso.

PASO 4
Sesión de incorporación
1 hora
La parte final del proceso de solicitud es venir a nuestra oficina de Barcelona para conocernos en persona y recibir una introducción completa a MigraCode Barcelona.
Te ayudaremos a instalar el software necesario en tu portátil, te explicaremos las principales herramientas que utilizamos durante el curso y te explicaremos otra información práctica sobre MigraCode.
We will start the onboarding process from September. Once this is done, all you have to do is wait for the course to start!
