About Glovo
Glovo is a Spanish start-up founded in Barcelona in 2015. It is a technology platform part of the gig economy which brings together restaurants and shops offering products, users buying these products and freelance couriers delivering the products. Glovo was founded by Oscar Pierre and Sacha Michaud and since the beginning Corporate Responsibility has been a key consideration of the company.

Glovo is financially sponsoring 3 courses of Migracode Barcelona, allowing us to support 36 students from migrant communities finding a new opportunity in their lives
Glovo is offering class spaces for our courses, allowing us to have more classes at the same time and contributing with a great learning environment for our students
Glovo is collaborating with us to organise various Meetups, allowing us to spread our objectives and promote an inclusive migrant-tech community
Glovo is promoting volunteering opportunities for their employees who can get involved with Migracode in fundraising sport events, teaching programming classes or offering soft skills trainings

On the 12th of December, 2019, Migracode and Glovo kicked-off their collaboration with a first joined Meetup, as part of a series of events to promote a diverse tech-community in Barcelona. With their organisational support and by offering a great venue at their Barcelona office, we were able to organise an extremely successful Meetup!
