In the weekend of the 12th of June, more than 25 cycling fanatics will be riding between 90 and 220 kilometers in the Catalan Pyrenees to raise funding and awareness for our program and the situation of our students.
Why?
The aim of the fundraiser is to raise enough money to fund a complete MigraCode course supporting 14 students from vulnerable communities through free tech education and other additional support that our program offers. That means that together with all the participants of the fundraiser, we want to reach the magic number of 15.000 euros to sponsor one full group of students!
How?
During a sports fundraiser, an individual or a group of people choose a sports challenge to raise money for a good cause, in this case MigraCode. The idea is that instead of asking for donations, each individual will actually make a (huge) effort to create awareness about the cause while also raising money for it. Participants can share the fundraiser with friends, colleagues and family and ask them to make a small donation!
The challenge
The MC Gran Fondo is a one-day sports fundraising event near Barcelona, in which participants can choose between 3 different routes to ride, each route adjusted to the fitness levels of participants. All routes start and finish in Ripoll (Catalan Pyrenees). During the event, nutrition will be provided our sponsor by Global {M}.
